King Jewelers offers traditional pieces and international
For three generations, King Jewelers has offered a brilliant array of the highest quality jewelry and gifts.
Just as important as the radiance of diamonds isthe special rapport the King family has developed with their customers over the decades.
It means a lot to us and to our customers. It gives our customers faith and trust in us, Valerie King said.
Valerie and her sister, Victoria are carrying on afamily tradition that began more than 80 years ago.
Our grandfather, Forrest King, started the business in 1921. In 1961, our dad took over. He passed away in 1985. My sister and I had always been involved in the business with my mother, so we took over, King said.
King Jewelers features the traditional, classic, and unique, including names such as Lorenzo, EK Designs, Hidalgo, Jarretiere, as well as jewelry by Pandora, the newest and exciting line.
Pandora, one of the most prominent lines in Europe, has created a new dimension in charm bracelets. The 14K gold and sterling silver handmade charms of Danish design screw in rather than hangon the bracelet. Various pieces are handcrafted with colorful precious stones and cultured pearls. There are more than 600 styles of beads to choose from.
A customer can create their own special bracelet with charms for memorable events or create a bracelet that is just beautiful to look at. People love it, King said.
A matching line of pendants, rings, necklaces, and earrings, and even toe rings, is also available.
Jewelry of mint green amethyst, a new stone, is another exciting addition to King Jewelers.
We always carry traditional New England pieces, and we like to show people what is out in the world, King said. There is something here for everyone. We always have something exciting and new.
We have
classic and traditional pieces along with designer pieces. What we frequently hear from our customers,
what we love to hear is, You see things here you don’t see in other stores.
On June 1, King Jewelers will mark its second anniversary at the new location, 812 Chief Justice Cushing Highway, Route 3A in Cohasset. The anniversary will be celebrated over the summer. We will try to come up with something special, King said.
Over the years, King Jewelers has been housed in several stores. Yet, one very special item has been in each store.
So many years ago, Forrest King Sr. had purchased a Waltham Jewelers regulator clock, one ofonly seven made. The wall clock has graced King Jewelers ever since.
We built a special spot for it in the new store. It is a magnificent clock, King said.
Generations of quality, trust, and integrity are part of King Jewelers.
We have new customers and generations of customers. A man came in who had bought the diamond
for his wife here 30 years ago, bringing his daughter to look at wedding bands, King
said.
This is what tradition is all about.
