Melanie Roake – Manager
Melanie Roake’s love for jewelry began in childhood, sitting in her mother’s office, mesmerized by the pieces tucked away in velvety wraps—like discovering buried treasure. That fascination never faded. As a fourth-generation King woman, Melanie grew up in the family business, but it wasn’t until after earning her Bachelor of Science in Community Entrepreneurship from the University of Vermont that she realized her true calling and began following in the footsteps of her mother, Victoria King.
For Melanie, jewelry is deeply personal—each piece represents a milestone, a memory, or a cherished moment. She takes pride in helping customers celebrate life’s special occasions, whether it’s selecting an engagement ring, custom designing a new piece, or revitalizing an heirloom treasure.
A recent Diamond Graduate from the Gemological Institute of America, Melanie is continuing her education and working toward completing her full GIA Gemology Certification, just like her mother and aunt before her.
When she’s not at King Jewelers, she’s making memories with her husband, Barrett, and their two adventurous boys, Forrest and Finn—spending summers by the seashore and cheering them on from the sidelines during their many sports seasons.

Rip - Store Mascot. Customer Greeter. Total Heartthrob.
Hi! I’m Rip — a one-year-old Cavapoo and the official personality hire here at the store. I take my job very seriously: greeting customers with tail wags, spreading smiles, and making sure the vibe is always top-tier.
I help my mom out wherever I can — whether it’s keeping her company, modeling for photos, or winning over anyone who walks through the door. I never bark on the job (professionalism matters!) and I absolutely crushed Bring Your Dog to Work Day.
Stop by and say hi — I’ll be the one with the soft curls and superstar attitude
